Our three sons and Dad
Eric, Dad, Scott, and Brandon.
You can't tell by the picture, but they all have red hair. Eric's is auburn, Scotts is (was...and he isn't bald, just shaved) a carrot top and Brandon is Strawberry blonde (can you say that for a man?)
Here they are with their sons,
Kyle, (the oldest) Cade (our only redheaded grandchild) and Jack.
Cade says his hair isn't red, it's orange.
And here the are with their girls.
Kobi, Drew, Lexi, Brooke, Cami, Madi and Emmy (left to right)
We all had a great Father's Day. Lot's of baseball for the Dads and the kids, and lots of relaxing and talking for the Moms.
We had a great Brunch
Filet Migon (BBQ'd using a yummy Paula Deen Recipe)
Marinate with Zesty Italian Dressing for 4 hrs.
Wrap with bacon
BBQ 8 minutes on each side basting with Lea and Perins Steak Sauce.
(wish I had a picture, but they disappeared too fast)
Scrambled Eggs with lots of toppings including DIL Lialani's special Salsa
(Yes, we ate a whole quart!)
Fresh Fruit Salad
Pancakes
Hot Polish Sausage
(Can you say "Heartburn"?)
Desert
(Did I say desert?)
Chocolate Ice Cream Cake (2 whole cakes, layered with ice cream) also made by Lialani
We ate the whole thing.
Just have to include these pictures of the baby of the family, Emmy.
She is just the sweetest at 3 1/2 months. A delight...and changing every day
Oh my!! I really have so much to post. So much going on, I just can't seem to catch up.
My oldest two grandkids stayed with us the last few days and since one of my spare bedrooms is also my studio/office, I haven't gotten to my computer (or my sewing machine) as often. But that's okay, because I sure had a lot of fun with them around.
I still have a covered bridge to show you in KY and of course all those quilt barns....but my next post will be a recipe for a salad I took to a get together last Friday night.

You have a beautiful family, and your little granddaughter is just adorable. So where does the red hair come from? I always thought we'd get a redhead, but that's the one color we didn't get. My mil was redheaded and so is one of my hubby's nephews. Maybe we'll get redheaded grandkids :-)
Blessings,
Marcia
I loved this post and seeing your boys with their families. You need to tell the story about you with your three boys at the grocery store when people would stop you and say, "Well I guess daddy has red hair!" I too am surprised that more grands didn't get it. Cade is so Eric and Emmy is definitely a Parks!
You do have a beautiful family. Sounds like you had a great Father's Day and the filets sound wonderful. Can't wait to see the covered bridge pic.
Hi Beverly,
You have been a very busy girl! I am playing catch up too!. I love all the quilts you have shown us and the stores are wonderful. I wish there was a quilt store near me, just two fabric stores in town. Your sons are handsome indeed and the grands are adorable! My Dad loves red hair and wanted a red head child, but you see Dad and Mom both add very dark hair, LOL. He can dream!
How fun that you were able to visit your Aunt and listen to her play at church, very special memories!. I like how you all dressed alike LOL.
Take care and I will keep your friends Son in my thoughts. Big, Big hugs~Elizabeth
You know I feel like I am looking at family. I get so excited seeing how much they have all grown including your boys (men). You truly have been blessed and so have I since I moved next door to you 35 years ago. Your brunch sounds really good which I know it was. Thanks for sharing your family.
What a wonderful Father's Day you had. What a joy to celebrate it with your whole family. They are beautiful and I know they are so very dear to you. You're a wonderful grandma to them. I'd like to try the filet mignon recipe -- it sounds yummy (and easy ... yea!). A great brunch. Little Emmy is so precious and growing fast, along with all your other kids. Many blessings to you.
Hugs, Sally
Hi Beverly,
You are way too sweet.. I just made up the pattern with the skirt. I did not do anything fancy and it has an elastic waist, as my daughter hates anything tight. I just did straight down the sides, hemmed the bottom and added the ruffle she picked out. Took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. You are super talented, so I'm sure yours will turn out so much better than mine.. If you want to email me, my email is: mechellehyatt@yahoo.com
Have a great night!
