Hi! I'm Emmy Lou

Hope you don't mind, but I'm writing my Mamaw's post for her tonight. She's been really busy lately and is a little too tired tonight.
You see, I don't get much time with my Mamaw all by myself.  Being the youngest of 10 cousins, (5 of them are my brother and sisters) I don't get much one on one time with anyone.
But tonight it's just us playing, while Mommy and Daddy get a date night.

I'm crawling now, so Mamaw has to stay on the floor near by, because I can get into trouble really fast.
She has lots of toys for me to play with, but I see other things that look like a lot more fun.
I've also learned to pull up on furniture. Darn she moved all the fun stuff back so I can't reach it.  I promise I won't break anything, I just want to chew on it.

Papaw came in for dinner and I played bashfull with him. (That's my newest "trick")

I also show him how I play Patty Cake (another new "trick")
A little more floor playtime before I get to take my bath.
I love taking a bath at Mamaw's.  She has the greatest bathtub sink in her kitchen.
I can take all my toys with me, but it's really more fun to just suck on the washcloth.
Then I get cuddled and dryed off with a warm fuzzy towel.
I love getting rubbed down with good smelling lotion and getting my jammies on.
More playtime until Mommy and Daddy come pick me up.
Opps! The picture isn't upside down, just me!

It sure is fun being an "only" grandkid for the night.
Rest up Mamaw, because next time it will be all of us again.

Dayle at  A Collection of This And That asked that I link this post to her Simple Pleasrures on Thursday's. Such a great idea, so click on her name above or on the button on my sidebar to visit all the other "Simple Pleasures"

Dear Emmy:

You did such a great job on your first blog post! I loved seeing your pictures and hearing about your fun time at Mammaw's. You are a very smart little girl to be able to write so eloquently at your age, but then your Mammaw always tells us what smart and beautiful grandchildren she has. She wasn't kinding.

Your Mammaw's friend,

Suzanne

Sure sounds fun! I know - do it regularly. Bath time sounded exactly the way we do it at this grandma's house. Grandchildren are such a blessing. Loved the sweet pictures. You're an amazing grandma!

What a precious doll baby! And such a unique post. They just don't stay little long enough.

So glad you linked up to Simple Pleasures. I didn't see a link back to the party, if you'd be so kind as to include one. Thanks, Beverly!

And, of course this is just the cutest simple pleasure of my week. She's so cute! I liked that little bashful picture best until the one with the towel came into view. Too precious!!!

And I'll bet her mommy and daddy had a simple pleasure with their date night too.
