Home for Christmas

It's been over a month since I have posted. We are mostly unpacked and settling into our new home.
I've managed to put up a small tree and decorated a corner of the kitchen island.
Presents are all wrapped, baking is done and our family will all be together at my son's house in Tehachapi tomorrow night.
Mr. SS asked me if I was feeling couped up in this little space. Nope, I said. I'm  surrounded by all the things I love. My grandkids are playing outside, I have a kitchen to cook in, a place to sit and read my favorite book, my sewing machine in the next room, a bed to fall in at night and best of all you, my husband to love me.
God has blessed me with all that I need.
I am also so blessed with great friends who have encouraged and supported me through this change in my life.  That includes all of you that I have met and consider friends through your blogs too.
May God bless you all with the best Christmas ever.
I am so looking forward to catching up with all of you and taking you along on my new adventure.

Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of  baby Jesus, our Lord.

God is Good!
Life is Good!

It's good to have you settled and back to blogging. Your home looks so cozy and comfortable and you're right, you do have everything you need. It's not things that makes us happy, it's the people and the love.

Oh Beverly, I have been away from blogland due to studying (for new job)....I am just now catching up on your blog posts! I admire so so so much the beauty of Christ living within you shining through!! What a faithful servant you are, Beverly, with your beautiful attitude and spirit! I am so sorry you lost your house...but your radiance and character shines through!! I, too being in the real estate line of work, understand the devastation of this economy. I have struggled for the last couple of years but was able to hang on to my house (barely) and now have a new job in a new industry. Struggling as I did though, I walked closer to the Lord and clung to Him like I never had before. I believe He allows us to go through difficult times to bring us closer to Him ...no better place to be. I agree with you so much in your sentiments of home..."Home" is where ever you are with your loved ones. It is the sweet touches a woman can make on any place that is called home. Just a woman hanging a picture or placing pretty teacups at the table is beautiful! No need for grandeur and the finest grade to make a home to be a home! Your new home is absolutely beautiful, my dear!!! I love it!!!
You have blessed my heart!! Merry Christmas to you and all of your sweet family!! God bless you!!!!
Great BIG hugs and prayers to you!!
