No not me (Well, maybe me since I've been missing here for so long)
When we moved from our house to our I soooo wanted to use my vintage table clothes and embroidered table runners for our family Easter dinner.
My insistence that only Christmas was in blue tubs was my downfall. I kept insisting...look through the clear tubs. I was heartsick, because this collection is my favorite. I have posted often of my dream of designing childrens clothing using vintage linens.
Finally, today, my sew sweet Mr. SS said he would take everything out of the storage room...my HERO of a sweet husband found my linens.
Yep...as you can see...in
blue tubs.

I had help today, going through them and finding what I wanted to dress up our five tables, plus the kids little table..
Brooke just kept "Oh Mamaw, these are sooo pretty." I love that girl.
All of a sudden we heard a yell. Two year old (just barely) Emmy is climbing a tree.
Yes she is.
Drew and I both at the same time, told her to get down.
You know what she said? She said, "Wait, hold on a minute!"
Yes, she did!!
She gets down alright. Look at that face.
Then she hides behind a plant.
proceeds to climb up the logs on the other side of the tree.
and swings from a limb.
(just so you know, Drew was close by while I snapped the pictures.)
Drew grabbed her and I got an almost smile from a very precocious
little girl and a beautiful smile from her big sis.
After all the linen finding, furniture cleaning, tree climbing and swinging, I stepped up into our RV
small cottage to put the camera away and caught Papaw (Mr. SS) and Lexy fully engrossed in

something "sports" on TV. The only place we could put our TV was over the door, so you can get a "crick" in your neck if you watch for too long. Didn't stop these two, though.
Another joyful day at the farmette as we all had our chores to do to get ready for the Big Parks Easter Egg Hunt next Sunday. Flowers got planted, lawn mowed and fertilized, and lots more to do, but I'm off to watch the American Country Music Awards.
Hope you had a great day too.

Helloooo! Glad to see you again (: and would love to see more of those linens. Be sure to post all about your family gathering. Easter blessings to you my friend.
Congratulations on your find! I have a box of my mom's hankies. My friend made a beautiful quilt from vintage hankies -- that's on my future quilts list. Better keep an eye on that little monkey this summer -- might have your hands full with that little cutie!
Wow so happy you found your wonderful collectables, they are so beautiful, I have many of my moms beautiful linens...love them
So nice that you were able to locate those linens!
Oh my gosh.......I just had exactly the same search. Vintage linens. In the garage.......also known as no man's land.... or woman's in this case. But I actually did find them. I have a ton in a large dresser in the house, but was searching for old tablecloths as well........I have curtains in mind, but still not enough to do the job. Darn it. More hunting is in my future.
Your little tree climber is just too darn cute. Maybe she's already blossoming as a little tomboy! Lexy and Drew are darling too.... Drew was actually my dad's middle name so I'm really fond of it.
Happy, Happy Easter to you and yours...
xoxo
Spencer
