Last Week...

I finally got to meet Linda of Linsueray. I have been reading her blog for over a year now. She makes the most creative bags and sells on Etsy. She uses her own patterns and designs. She does a lot of wool applique, which I love. She is also a phenomenal gardener and has a beautiful yard and garden.
She picked me up about 10:00am and took me to a quilt store called Stars and Scraps.
Her sister Deb of Cucaroo met us there. Deb makes primitive dolls and from what I could tell, lots of other things too.
Deb, me and Linda
I stole borrowed this picture from Deb's blog, because as I am prone to do...I left my memory card in the computer  and my camera memory was full.
Okay, I stole borrowed this one too.
and this one.
One thing I noticed about this store, was how many precut kits they had. Almost every model had a kit.
I finally deleted enough pictures from my camera's memory to take these.
This table runner kit.
The pieces are already precut to the shape you see below. Easy Peasy.
This cupcake placemat caught my attention and came home with me too.
There was much to see and we spent quite a while shopping and  taking it all in.
We had all worked up an appetite and went to El Torito for lunch. After taking advantage of their buffet lunch, we stayed and talked. Never at loss for something to talk about.
Linda took me back to my home away from home and we talked some more.
Such nice sweet ladies and I feel blessed to have met them.

The next day, (after Linda's sweet husband, Ron brought me the bag I had left in her car) I had to look over my goodies.
Cute bag.
The other cupcake pattern is small with a pocket. I thought it would make a cute birthday party favor.
With 7 granddaughters, there is bound to be a cupcake party sometime soon.
Also found the cutest Redwork book. I love redwork and  there are several projects I want to try.
Here;s one...Tea towels. Aren't those the cutest owls.

Last week...
I cut out three back to school outfits to make this week.

I also made this "Cuddle Bug" quilt for a customer of Strawberry Patches.
Lots of yummy Minkee fabrics, and some chenille.
The back is  cowhide minkee.
 Jumbo Ric Rac
And this wonderful minkee.  It's latte swirl minkee and it is unbelievably soft.

Saturday, Mr. S, S. golfed in the morning and we took off for Bakersfield about 1:00PM. Then turnaround and back here tonight. I'm getting tired just reading about my week, so off to bed.

I've read Deb's blog because she is friends with a former Southern California quilt shop blogger. Small world! Blogging does bring the world together and I love that.

You're day sounded perfect and you so deserved that.

Thanks for doing the blanket, I'll call her today to come pick it up and I know she'll love it for her baby boy.

Can't wait to see your girls in their new back to school skirts! Didn't you just do back to school skirts?! I can't believe it's that time again!
