Birthday Season and More

Counting mine, we have 7 fall birthdays in our family. It seems we are celebrating every week...which is fine with me.

Today is my baby boy's birthday. Brandon is the youngest of my three boys.
He's sick today so we aren't celebrating until Friday night, but just thought I would celebrate him here a little
He's Dad to 6 of my 10 grand kids.
He teaches and coaches at the high school right across the street from our new home.
He also coaches his son in baseball and foot ball.

Brandon and Jack after Monday night football playoff game.
They lost, but Jack is quarterback and threw a touchdown pass. We were all so excited, even Dad was jumping up and down. He's 8 and this is his first year, following in his dad's footsteps who was quarterback too.

Drew turned 15 two weeks ago.

As for the "more" part of this post, just thought I should let you know, I am still sewing. This is my handwork project. A yo yo quilt I am making for my cousin. It takes a lot of yo-yo's  and this will someday be a small throw for her couch. I've been working on it for 2 years. Next Christmas for sure, Judy.

Today, I packed up and mailed 19 vests to Four Tiny Cousins. Thanks to my friend Suzanne, they were finished in time. My beloved Bernina quit on me Monday night, and she let me come down to Strawberry Patches and make 64 buttonholes on one of her beautiful "new" Berninas. Thanks Suzanne.

Emmy Lou...not her birthday til spring, but I just had to end my post with that smile. I said, "Emmy, I love your uh....bun? She said, "Oh Mamaw, it's not a bun its a Minnie bow."  Big sister Drew had styled her "bow" for her. Isn't that the cutest thing...the hairstyle and the smile?

First of all you are always welcome to use our machines - we totally understand sewing emergencies. Your old girl has a lot of stitches on her and just needs some TLC in our machine spa. TJ will have her stitching along in no time I'm sure. Those tiny vests were just too cute! I can see why they sell so well.

Emmy and Drew have grown so much! I hadn't realized how long it's been since we've seen photos of them. I know Brandon (and you) are enjoying Jack and his sports. I can't even imagine what it's like to be the only boy in a family of six kids!

See you next week for Bernina Club - if not before.

Now if only I had read Suzanne's comment YESTERDAY! I was the first one to Bernina Club today....a week early!! Oh, well. I spent some money there so I guess it was time well spent. LOL! Loved your post. I'm sure it will be nice to just walk across the street next baseball season. How fun! See you next week?

Oh my goodness.....I finally find time to read and respond on your blog. Why does life keep us sp busy and away from the most delightful things???
So here is to a NEW beggining of chatting, catching up and inspiring each other. Love the new look...love the new home. Only thing I DO NOT love is how big those kids are. Can it be we are growing older????
